Boston’s Swan Boats are more than just a fun day out — they’re a cultural treasure. Since their opening in 1877 by Irish immigrant and shipbuilder Robert Paget, the Paget family continues to own and operate the boats today, making them a symbol of Boston’s rich Irish heritage.
The oldest boat in the fleet has just celebrated its 113th anniversary, and the newest has been in the water since 1993.
What are you waiting for? Whether you’re a New England local looking to spend a classic Boston day out on the town, or a visitor, you can start riding the Swan Boats as of April 15th at 11 am, the start of their 146th season. Tickets can be bought on the premises.
