A couple weeks ago, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced new tightened guidelines regarding mask-wearing following a spike in positive cases, with Revere and Brockton amongst the regions seeing severe increases.

These updated guidelines come in light of the emergence and spread of the Delta — and Delta plus — variants of Covid-19. They include recommendations that fully vaccinated people in Massachusetts wear face masks in public and indoor settings under certain conditions.

While not mandated, the latest guidance also recommends that “a fully vaccinated person wear a mask or face covering when indoors (and not in your own home)” if they, or one of their housemates, has a weakened immune system or is otherwise vulnerable or unvaccinated.
